After Action Report, Blacktooth Session 7

This abbreviated session was light on combat, but not entirely without drama. Making their way down the ancient Imperial Road back to Malforten with the head of Gritznak the Bold in a sack and a chest full of loot, the party came across a large brown bear. The bear was not immediately threatening, so Galvin, the party's ranger, took the bold step of raising up and howling at the grizzly. After some gut-wrenching moments, the bear turned and continued on its way into the woods. The ranger's brave (or foolhardy) actions may have saved several members of the party. The group arrived in Malforten without further incident and were greeted somewhat warmly in the Empty Flagon. A minor misunderstanding over where the loot in the chest may have come from (the villagers, perhaps?) almost led to a brawl. Cooler heads prevailed and the party enjoyed some well-deserved ale. Eryl Hoskin traded the gnoll's head for a ring and a sealed letter, while Camlin did his best to impress the local barmaid, Vivian. Successfully? Who knows if a wizard tells his tales. After buying a mule to haul their load, the adventurers set off for Hruesen to finally collect their bounty. Along the way, they interrupted a robbery in progress on the West Way. Bandits had just killed 3 villagers and had raped a 4th. Branwyn reacted first with a sound blast and Camlin put 2 of the criminals to sleep. Charging into the fray, the party quickly killed 2 bandits. There was dissent over what to do with the final bandit-- hang him high or hand him over to the villagers. He was given to them for village justice. Good deed accomplished, they continued towards Hruesen where new adventures await.
