After Action Report; Blacktooth Session 1

Tenkar and Kurgan, a pair a dwarves, find themselves in the town of Hruesen, the largest city in the Outremere Kingdom. Their reason for being in town are unclear, but their presence is not unnoted. Non-humans aren't very common in these parts. The two dwarves noticed a poster around town asking for volunteers. It seems that a gnoll has been leading a band of goblins on raids on a village on the outskirts of the Kingdom. Individuals interested in putting a stop to this menace (for a bounty) were meant to present themselves at the constable's office for more information. Our adventurers made their way to the local official's chambers and found a large group of fortune-hunters were already there. Gowan Fyr, the constable, explained that a bounty of 250gp was on offer for the head of Gritznak, a gnoll who was terrorizing the town of Malforten. The band of adventurers would be given a map and the name of the local contact (Eryl Hoskin) for more info on where to begin to look for this gnoll. The party has 8 weeks to complete its task. Tenkar and Kurgan looked over the adventurers assembled in the room and chose 4 to accompany them on the journey to Malforten-- Branwyn, a Human Cleric; Ceri, a Half-Elf Druid; Cadfan, a Human Fighter; Galvin, a Human Ranger. The party followed the imperial road west to Malforten. It was a quiet trip until the last evening. That's when Cadfan, who was on watch, heard something suspicious and woke the others. Two stirges and a ghoul attacked the awakened party. Cadfan was stung by one of the stirges, but the group managed to hack it off of him before he'd been drained of blood. The group didn't manage much rest that night, but they arrived in Malforten the next day.
