Having dispatched the first goblins they encounter, our group of adventurers explore other parts of the temple looking for Gritznak. They leave Galvin, Ceri, Branwyn and Szigfel to guard the entrance (and their rear). This reduces the active members to Tenkar, Kurgan, Camlin, Phlox and Cadfan (who has suddenly taken on new energy!). The party first happen open a large room with over-sized mining equipment. Used by ogres? There were no ogres in the room. The party continued south through the room, but turned back when one of the dwarves noticed something suspicious about the floor in the corridor. It looked weak somehow. Rather than fall into a trap, the group went north. They made their way to a room of howling wolves in cages. The wolves attracted the attention of their master, a gnoll. Once the gnoll saw the party, he called for his backups-- goblins. The party managed to fight off the threat and continued their explorations. They came upon a room which, suspiciously, smelled of smoke. Something was burning on the other side. Kicking in the door, our party finds a small group of kobolds examining and burning documents. These creatures are quickly killed. Camlin, the wizard, gathers up as many documents he can fit in his pack. He intends to have a more thorough look later. This is when Tenkar realizes he may have seen something in the room with the wolves-- a passageway? The adventurers return to the room of wolves (feeding them goblin) and find a staircase leading to a lower level of the temple....
