After Action Report; Blacktooth Session 5

Our little band of adventurers withdrew from their last fight in the face of determined fighting by kobold guards and their pet spiders. The party decided that rest and reinforcements would give them a greater chance of success, so they made their way back through the lower level of the temple. Along the way, they were a bit surprised not to find Phlox waiting for them near the staircase. After a couple of false turns the party finally returned to the entrance to the temple. Only 2 NPCs, Galvin and Branwyn, were waiting. The party learned that the Gnome who had joined them up to the temple had left taking the golden bowl with him. Ceri, the druid, said she was returning to the village. The pair had seen Phlox. He said he was going out momentarily to get some air, but never came back. The six adventurers made camp in a concealed location close to the temple entrance. Camlin took time to cast a read magic spell on the scroll he was carrying and was able to copy it into his spellbook. He also found some info on a treasure house in Vargolg in the documents he recovered from the kobolds. Refreshed, the party made its way back into the temple to deal with the kobold guards and to find Gritznak. They swiftly dealt with some goblins they came across and returned to the room that gave them difficulties the last time. The room was empty upon their return, but Cadfan found a net trap the kobolds installed. He threw a dead kobold onto the trap and a fight against spiders and kobolds ensued. The party overcame the guards and even killed the leader of a goblin war band, who they may have thought was Gritznak. Cadfan was knocked unconscious during the fight, but once again was thankful for Tenkar's healing powers.
