Role-Playing votes to date - Page 2 Empty New areas explored, death averted, treasure discovered

Post  Sakusammakko Mon 20 Dec 2010, 20:59

Date: 25st of February in the 22nd year of the reign of the Slobberer
Location: Village of Gordon
Weather: 1 degree; freezing rain

Our hardy band of explorers had not visited the the ruins of Gordon Keep for four days. With the return of Gaskon and Hortensio, they felt ready to try their luck again. The weather was awful. Perhaps it was better to risk death taking some kind of action than to risk freezing in bed.

Brother Thedin led Gaskon, Hortensio, Siv and Ethel up to the Keep. An relatively uneventful entrance and then...I should avoid telling the tale of someone else's exploits. Perhaps a bard could do a better job than I could in extolling the virtues of the Fantastic Five.

Brother Thedin's courage and leadership were greatly appreciated by his companions. He led from the front, made firm decisions and was calm under attack. They awarded him 180 points.

Gaskon's return to action almost led to an unfortunate end-- on two occasions. Good planning and relatively good fortune prevented a sad end to his growing tale. His travel-mates liked something about this 'man of action'. They gave him 125 votes for his efforts.

Siv's fingers had obviously been adversely affected by the cold weather. None of her arrows seemed to hit the target. Nevertheless, she is learning to like the role of hiding in shadows to protect the group's rear. Unfortunately, this may have caused her friends to overlook her contributions as they only gave her 25 points.

Ethel proved to be a better help-mate this trip and it may have been her efforts with the village woman that ultimately saved Gaskon's life. Certainly the woman ended up being a big help. Ethel's own combat efforts were almost entirely futile. Every bullet she threw with her sling fell 10 feet short. Nevertheless, her companions gave her 75 points.

Hortensio was a solid companion. He was active in the exploring, helpful in looking after Gaskon's safety and resourceful after looking death in the face. He survived his second combat encounter much better this time. His comrades rewarded him with 95 points.

Role-Playing votes to date - Page 2 Empty Beasts destroyed?

Post  Sakusammakko Tue 18 Jan 2011, 10:34

Date: 28th of February, the Sunday before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent
Location: Village of Gordon
Weather: 6 degrees; overcast skies

Only three of the hardiest adventurers decided to make the trip to the ruins of Gordon's Keep this Sunday morning. They were accompanied by Marest, the villager who had been so active during their last expedition.

Brother Thedin, Hortensio and Junipero explored new ground, met new people and did what they could to avoid vomit and blood upon exiting the Keep. They lived to tell their own tales.

Brother Thedin did well in pacifying the party's prisoners. He learned the value of taking captives rather than risking lives in combat. His mates awarded him 100 points.

Junipero performed scouting duties and did well in finding potential danger. His herbal remedy seemed to be the key to the group's success on this foray. His travel-mates gave him 100 votes for his efforts.

Hortensio showed the restraint of his profession in his dealings with the prisoners. He showed a willingness to forgive his fellow man. His companions thought he deserved 100 points.
