Next Game...?
Hi guys,
If you have suggestions on how to keep the gaming group going, feel free to post them here.

Mmmm....nothing much heard here
Have suggested to Ian (Valarian) that he take it over, but he's off on hols at the moment, so probably won't hear from him until he gets back.

I could probably take over running a game, but I don't think I'd be able to continue the current campaign. I know pretty much nothing about the setting being used. I could possibly look at running something in the Forgotten Realms, Airdhe, or possibly my own world (Belmyr). If using Belmyr, for the flavour of the current campaign, we'd probably need to run in the Hanrath region. I've recently been running a game in the Gwaelydd Pensinsula region which is now coming to a close. This region is low magic and Celtic in flavour. Hanrath is more classical Fantasy, though it does have a restrictive Mage's Guild which all magic users would be members of. Magic is regulated in the Hanrath region, and the Mages police their own. On the plus side, there's a ready network of magical colleges so Mages don't need to scrabble around looking for a teacher.

This was a fairly active group, although they've been very quiet on here in recent weeks. Don't think they'd object to a change in campaign if there was a GM to take it on. Would actually like to try Forgotten Realms myself.
Any comment anyone??

I'd still like to keep the Castles and Crusades game rather than switch to D&D3e. I like the simplicity of the rules and haven't got the time to mess around with preparation for a 3rd edition game. I think Castles and Crusades is close enough that there isn't going to be a load of conversion work to do. The FR setting is varied enough that I should be able to set a game that will suit most characters.

Yes, I know the feeling, my computer went in to get fixed this morning (am at work) and if I don't get it back today, I'll be at a complete loss this evening. It can't be healthy...

Re: Next Game...?
Well I doubt we're doing anything tonight anyway. However, if we can get three or four players for next week, I'll run a character building session. Unless, of course, people just want to relocate the characters. In that case, I could probably get the db.xml file for the old campaign from Sakusammakko and find a suitable location in the Realms for the campaign to start.

It's like the Bermuda Triangle of gaming - an entire group just....vanished.
Perhaps we should phone the FBI..?

Hi guys
Sorry to see that the train has completely de-railed. It seemed likely.
You're welcome to take my files. I've been tinkering with something new, but it would be awhile before I could make a new commitment. I think you'll have to find new games further afield.
Thank you again for playing. Sorry we couldn't have a longer run.
Best,
Rob
